This interactive workshop is run by Physiotherapist Linda Linton who will use her clinical experience and research to teach the latest concepts and evidence-based practice in injury reduction practices for runners. Having just completed a PhD in prevention of running injuries Linda is keen to help runners to learn more about maintaining running without injury and how to improve performance.

What will I learn during the workshop?
This is an interactive workshop and throughout the morning you will take part in learning an injury prevention programme of running specific strength, balance, flexibility and plyometric exercises. You will learn about warm-ups, cool downs, recovery strategies, load management and gait re-training.
Who is this workshop suitable for?
The workshop is suitable for those who are new to running, or runners who want to improve their running and would like to help minimize risk of running injuries and maximize performance.
I have an injury, should I still attend?
If you have significant injury that would prevent you from participating in the exercises in the workshop you might want to wait until you have recovered and join the next workshop instead. Book in with one of our physiotherapists for specialist assessment and advice.

Come prepared for some practical exercises, wear comfortable loose clothing and trainers, and bring a water bottle.

You will be given access to all the information in the course workbook that will be provided online.
